Michelle Williams Releases Statement on Heath Ledger’s Death

Michelle Williams has issued a statement today regarding the death of her daughter’s father, Heath Ledger. This is the first, and probably the last, statement since the Broke Back Mountain star was found in his bed in a New York City apartment last Tuesday.

The statement is as follows:

“Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day. His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up with the best memories of him.“

Generally I’m kinda, sorta a prick… alright prick is too harsh, asshole… there now I have it. Generally I’m an asshole when leaving my thoughts, however, I chose to say “no comment” on this subject. I wish to respect Miss Williams
privacy and that of her daughters. This
situation is no place for a cheap laugh.

Woh… I do have a heart!
